You Can Worship…. By John Davis

Guidance in The Presence!

It is so awesome to worship God and know that there is nothing that can separate us from Him and His presence besides the way we view Him, but seeing Him the way He sees/views us changes everything and frees us to worship Him.

John 10:10 the thief comes to steal, kill and destroy; I am come that they might have life and have it more abundantly.

So we see here that it is the will of God for every believer to live in this abundant life.  It was provided for us by none other than the blood of Jesus, obviously man could not live in this abundance before Jesus came or else He wouldn’t have mentioned it.  What I want to draw from is what the thief would like to keep us from.  He was acquainted with the throne of God with the other Angels before he rebelled against God.  So he knows what its like to be in the presence of God to be surrounded by Him and all His Goodness.  What He doesn’t want is for Man to experience this Presence and Goodness of God. God created Man in His imagine and likeness as stated in Genesis 1:26.   Psalm 8:4 what is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him? God created man to be able to stand in His presence to worship Him, at a deeper level than that of an Angel. God prizes His man above everything else.

Now concerning worship there are so many different reasons to worship him. Just think about where you are in Life and the goodness that He has shown towards you.   I have learned so much from being in the presence of God or as I would title it awareness of Him. We are in the presence of God 24/7 but weather we are tuned to the awareness of Him and His Glory there is a vast difference.   Example of things that take place in this awareness of Him, 2 Kings 3 The King was in distress of all that surrounded him, he was going to war and had no water for himself nor the tribes that were to help him, but he knew that change would take place if only he could get to a Prophet that heard from God. Elisha was the Prophet of the hour.   2 Kings 3:15-18 reads BUT now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the Lord came upon Him and he said, thus saith the Lord, Make this valley full of ditches for thus saith the Lord, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet the valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts. and this is but a light thing in the sight of the Lord: he will deliver the Moabites also into your hand. So we read here that the hand of the Lord came upon the Prophet for a purpose to ease his mind to be able to hear clearly the voice and leading of God. Well what a great help the prophet was, one who knew how to worship, one who knew about the presence of God and was aware of Him. Great direction and comfort was giving through the prophet to the King because of a Worshipper.  My question: can that be you, is it you?  I dare say it is!  You were created to do so, to be a help; some may not know what to do or what to say; well you are a Worshipper and are aware of Him and He can lead you and inspire you in directions that others had no clue of like with the situation of the Kings in distress.

There are so many examples of what happens when men came to their own and just began to do what they were created to do and that is to be a worshipper.  This next account takes place in the book of Acts, Jesus had spoken to the disciples and given unto them direction of what was to come which was the promise of the Father.  They would receive power after the Holy Ghost (The Devine Illuminator) would come upon them to be a witness Acts 1:4.  Well in Acts 1:14 it reads these all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication. I dare say Worship was taking place, corporate worship by 120 believers. Acts 2:1 and when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.  In this one “accordness” I believe that these believers were doing what they were created for and that’s Worship.  It doesn’t mention anything about their likes or differences besides that they were in one accord with one purpose and that was to receive what Jesus had spoken of.  Here we also see in vs. 2 and suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. God came in this house I am talking about the bigness, the awesomeness of God was in physical manifestation in this house in the form of wind. What’s awesome is that this presence that surrounded them went inside of them. The one in whom they worship was now living on the inside of them to empower them for a purpose in the person of the Holy Spirit. So we see here demonstration takes place in worship.  I dare say you can have demonstrations as you come to your own and just begin to worship Him.

Jesus was in conversation with a Woman at a Well and made one of the most remarkable statements that I have noted on Worship. Jesus said in John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. Jesus said that God the Father that created all there is and is yet to be discovered, is looking for, chasing after, ambitious, crave, pursue, and desire those that will worship Him.  I believe that person is you! He wants to prove who He is in you, outside of you. I dare say as you begin to worship Him you will see things the way He does and get the same results He gets.  You were created to Worship its in your DNA, Worshipper is WHO YOU ARE!!
